I strive to be great at the sport I love the most.
Will Moss was born and raised in New York City. Beginning his climbing journey on boulders and sport routes in the gym, he wasn’t introduced to trad climbing in the Gunks until he was 16. It was love at first jam! Since then, Will made the first ascent of the two hardest routes in the area with Friend Zone 5.14c trad, and The Best Things in Life are Free 5.14d trad. As soon as Will graduated high school, he moved to Boulder, CO to pursue his mechanical engineering degree at The University of Colorado. In his first few years there, he has earned ascents of many of the hardest trad routes in the West as well. In May of 2025, Will became the first person to ever flash El Cap in a day, with his ascent of Freerider 5.13a trad 34 pitches. Currently in Yosemite, Will has no plans of slowing down anytime soon.
