Allison Vest

I used to come home from preschool with my hands bleeding from being all over the jungle gym. So my dad looked up a climbing gym and I had my fifth birthday party there. I've been hooked ever since!

About >

Allison Vest grew up in Canmore, Alberta, right in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. She first joined the youth competitive climbing team at age nine. Fueled by her unrelenting competitiveness, her desire to be constantly moving, and the surplus of climbing history around her, she fell in love with the sport.

In 2015, she moved to Vancouver, British Columbia for University and with many of Canada’s brightest stars of competitive climbing living in the area, she was more motivated than ever to succeed on the competition climbing circuit. Sacrificing many a day on the rock for training sessions in the gym, her dedication began to pay off when she became National Bouldering Champion in 2018 and again in 2020. She also found success on a rope in between, becoming National Lead Champion in 2019. That same year, she was committed to finding time to get out into the boulders to try hard on rock. The result was successfully completing her first V10, V11, V12, and V13 that season. With her send of The Terminator in Squamish, BC she became the first Canadian woman to climb V13.
